The Los Angeles Dodgers today claimed right-handed pitcher J.T. Chargois from the Minnesota Twins and placed left-handed pitcher Julio Urías on the 60-day disabled list.
Chargois, 27, has pitched in 25 Major League games with Minnesota, all in 2016 out of the bullpen, going 1-1 with a 4.70 ERA. The Louisiana native missed most of last season due to injury, appearing in just two games. In 2016, he was also 2-1 with 16 saves and a 1.35 ERA (7 ER/46.2 IP) in 39 games for Triple-A Rochester of the International League and Double-A Chattanooga in the Southern League.
Chargois was originally drafted by the Twins in the second round of the 2012 Draft out of Rice University in Houston, TX.
Urías underwent shoulder surgery last year and made just five starts.
