The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Baltimore Orioles Minor League third baseman Jaime Estrada, who is currently on the Club's Gulf Coast League roster, has received a 50-game suspension without pay after a positive test for Strychnine, a stimulant in violation of the Program. The suspension of Estrada will be effective at the start of the 2018 Gulf Coast League season.
Los Angeles Angels Minor League pitcher Andrew Vinson, who is currently on the roster of Single-A Burlington, has received a 50-game suspension without pay following a second positive test for a drug of abuse in violation of the Program. The suspension of Vinson will be effective at the start of the 2018 Midwest League season.
