Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto today announced today the following roster move:
 
· Mike Morin, RHP, outrighted to AAA Tacoma.
 
Morin was designated for assignment on Thursday, June 14. Seattle's Major League, 40-man roster, remains at 39 players.
 
Morin, 27, made 2 relief appearances with the Mariners after being selected from AAA Tacoma on June 8. He posted a 4.50 ERA (1 ER, 2.0 IP) with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk over those 2 games with Seattle. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound right-hander worked 1.0 inning Wednesday, June 13 vs. the Angels, giving up 1 run after allowing a triple to lead off the 6th inning. Prior to being selected by the Mariners, Morin went 2-1 with 3 saves and a 3.24 ERA (9 ER, 25.0 IP) with 28 strikeouts and 6 walks in 20 outings with AAA Tacoma this season.
 
Morin was claimed off waivers by Seattle from Kansas City on Dec. 8, 2017. He has appeared in parts of 5 Major League seasons with Los Angeles-AL (2014-17), Kansas City (2017) and Seattle (2018), compiling a 10-8 mark with 1 save and a 4.60 ERA (88 ER, 172.0 IP) with 163 strikeouts and 49 walks in 185 games. The native of Andover, MN, was originally selected by the Angels in the 13th round of the 2012 MLB Draft out of the University of North Carolina.
