Following Wednesday's contest against the Chicago Cubs, the Los Angeles Dodgers optioned catcher/infielder Kyle Farmer to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Farmer, 27, has appeared in 32 games in two stints with Los Angeles this season, hitting .238 (15-for-63) with one run, four doubles and eight RBI. In the first game of the doubleheader on Tuesday, Farmer drove in the game-winning run with a pinch-hit, two-run double in the ninth inning against the Cubs. In 16 pinch-hit appearances this season, Farmer is hitting .375 (6-for-16) with two doubles and four RBI.
