Major League Baseball announced that Trevor Story has been named the National League Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, July 15.
Story batted .400 (10-for-25) with five runs, three doubles, three home runs, six RBI, one walk and one stolen base over the period, which was capped by his walk-off home run against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday going into the All-Star break. It was the first walk-off home run of his career.
This is the third Player of the Week recognition for Story in his career, having won twice in 2016 (period ending April 10, period ending July 24).
