White Sox reinstate Avisaíl García from 10-day disabled list

Prior to tonight's game at Seattle, the Chicago White Sox reinstated outfielder Avisaíl García from the 10-day disabled list. García, 27, takes the roster spot of outfielder Ryan LaMarre, who was optioned to Class AAA Charlotte following last night's game.

SEATTLE -- Prior to tonight's game at Seattle, the Chicago White Sox reinstated outfielder Avisaíl García from the 10-day disabled list. García, 27, takes the roster spot of outfielder Ryan LaMarre, who was optioned to Class AAA Charlotte following last night's game.
García, a 2017 American League All-Star, was placed on the disabled list on July 10 (retroactive to July 9) with a strained right hamstring. He is hitting .282 (40-142) with six doubles, two triples, nine home runs and 17 RBI over 35 games with the White Sox in 2018, his sixth season with the club.
García was 23-69 (.333) with three doubles, two triples, eight homers, 13 RBI and a 1.130 OPS over his last 17 games before being placed on the disabled list for the second time this season. He previously was on the disabled list from April 24-June 22.
