Padres to Host Diamondbacks and Giants for Ninth Homestand of the 2018 Season

The Padres return home from their eighth road trip of the season, a seven-day six-game trip, for their ninth homestand of 2018, featuring games against the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants.

The Padres return home from their eighth road trip of the season, a seven-day six-game trip, for their ninth homestand of 2018, featuring games against the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants. Action begins tomorrow with a 7:10 p.m. start against the Diamondbacks.
 
Friday is the second Marvel Super Hero Day™ of 2018, featuring:
-A Padres-themed Ant-Man and The Wasp Bobblehead with the purchase of a dedicated Marvel Super Hero Day™ theme game ticket package (available to the first 5,000 fans who purchase the dedicated ticket package). Ticket packages are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be purchased here.
-Marvel Super Hero-themed in-game entertainment throughout the night.
 
Friday is also Country Night at Petco Park with elements including:
-A special ticket package which includes a limited-edition Padres-themed cowboy hat, available to the first 1,000 fans who purchase the dedicated Country Night ticket package. For more information, fans can visit here.
-Country artist Jason Charles Miller will perform the National Anthem prior to Friday's game.
 
Party in the Park presented by Southwest Airlines will also take place Friday and will feature a country theme. The party begins at 4:30 p.m. and will feature live entertainment by the Nash Brothers Band, a Lifeproof dunk tank, mechanical bulls, cornhole games and $5 drink specials.
 
Jose Pirela, the Padres' winner of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association's Heart and Hustle Award, will be presented with the award during a pregame ceremony. The award, given to players who demonstrate a passion for the game of baseball and best embody its values, will be presented to Pirela by Padres First Base Coach Skip Schumaker.
 
Thousands of athletes will participate in an Xtreme Diamond Sports Parade on the warning track prior to Friday's game.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Arizona Diamondbacks - Saturday, July 28 @ 5:40 p.m.
 
As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance will receive a Trevor Hoffman #51 Retirement Commemorative Bobblehead presented by State Farm.
 
Greek Heritage Night will take place Saturday, a night to recognize the San Diego Greek community. Elements include:
-A special ticket package which includes a limited-edition Greek Night hat, available to the first 500 fans who purchase the dedicated Greek Heritage Night ticket package. For more information, fans can visit here.
-A special Greek Heritage Night performance in Park at the Park.
 
Sunday will also be UC San Diego Health Night with representatives from UC San Diego participating in various activities during the pregame ceremony in addition to a special postgame catch on the field.
 
The local Mormon community will be recognized during the pregame ceremony on Saturday as part of Mormon Night. Kristine Krause, a representative of Mormon Night, will perform the National Anthem prior to the game.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Arizona Diamondbacks - Sunday, July 29 @ 1:10 p.m.
 
Fans attending Sunday's game will have the opportunity to watch former Padres closer Trevor Hoffman on the video board as he is inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame during the Hoffman Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony In-Park Broadcast. Gates will open at 10:00 a.m. to allow fans to arrive at Petco Park before the broadcast begins at 10:30 a.m.
 
In honor of Trevor Hoffman's induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday, the first 15,000 fans in attendance will receive a Trevor Hoffman #51 Commemorative Flag.
 
As part of Kids Day presented by Chick-fil-A, all kids in attendance on Sunday (14 and under) will receive a Padres-themed backpack.
 
Also on Sunday is the 10th Annual "Phil's BBQ at the Ballpark," a private pregame tailgate party at Tailgate Park beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Padres and Phil's BBQ are raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters Operation Bigs. For more information, fans can visit here.
 
Sunday will also serve as a Military Salute: U.S. Army & Army National Guard Appreciation Day presented by USAA. Elements of the day include:
-Over 50 representatives from the United States Army and California Army National Guard will line the baselines during the pregame ceremony.
-Staff Sergeant Christopher McCullough from the U.S. Army San Diego recruiting company will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
54 future U.S. Army soldiers will take the Oath of Enlistment, administered by Lieutenant Colonel John T. Bleigh, who be accompanied by Sergeant First Class Mathew Lewis.
-Brigadier General Jeff Broadwater, Commanding General of the U.S. Army National Training Center in Fort Irwin, CA, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
-Specialist Dana Clarke from Operations Group, National Training Center in Fort Irwin, CA will perform the National Anthem and God Bless America during the 7th-inning stretch.
-Nine representatives from the U.S. Army and California Army National Guard will take the field to greet Padres starters as part of the "Military Take the Field."
-A flyover will be conducted by three UH-60 helicopters from the 2916th Aviation Battalion in Fort Irwin, CA.
 
Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on Sunday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer featuring $15 tickets for kids (14 and younger) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket.
-Access to inflatables and face painters in Park at the Park prior to Sunday's game.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under with the Friar Family Day ticket are invited to play catch on the field. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street.
-Fans can purchase tickets for Friar Family Day at the Petco Park box office or online here.
 
KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real Foods, Compadres Kids Sunday Signings and Postgame Catch on the Field activities include:
-KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real Foods features bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid-friendly activities in Park at the Park beginning at 10:00 a.m.
-From 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., two Padres players will sign autographs at the Park at the Park for Compadres Kids Sunday Signings. A Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online here or in-person on the day of the event.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under are invited to play catch on the field. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street. Compadres Kids members will receive front-of-the-line privileges by lining up at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza.
 
On Sunday, the Padres Foundation, in partnership with SDG&E, will continue their season-long "Going to Bat for San Diego" initiative. The partnership aims to honor the 13 local organizations dedicated to keeping San Diego safe and clean. Sunday's "Going to Bat for San Diego" will feature Sustainable Sunday: Get Here Green, where East Village Association and Circulate San Diego will come together to encourage the use of alternative rides. A representative from SDG&E will present a check for $15,000 to representatives from Circulate San Diego during the pregame ceremony.
 
Fans will receive a Del Real Foods coupon upon exiting the game (available to the first 15,000 fans).
 
San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants - Monday, July 30 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on Monday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer featuring $15 tickets for kids (14 and under) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket along with the opportunity to choose from an assortment of giveaway items, available on a first-come, first-served basis, for fans who purchase the dedicated Friar Family Day ticket package.

Lifesharing's 5th Annual Donate Life Night is Monday, a night committed to raising awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation, with elements including:
-A special ticket package to attend the game with the Donate Life group. For more information, fans can visit here.
-Local surgeons and coordinators at San Diego's transplant hospitals will be recognized during the pregame ceremony.
 
Prior to Monday night's game, Padres pitcher Kirby Yates will be honored by the Hall of Champions as their June Star of the Month during the pregame ceremonies.

The eighth Taco Tuesday of 2018 takes place Tuesday and features Petco Park's favorite local tacos at a special price. For only $2.50, fans can choose from a variety of taco options at Blue Water Seafood Market & Grill (section 117 location), Carnitas' Snack Shack, Wonderland Ocean Pub, Lucha Libre, Miguel's, Seaside Market and Brigantine.
 
As part of Camp Day, thousands of children from local day camps will participate in a pregame parade around the warning track.
