Blue Jays complete trade with New York Yankees

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have acquired INF/OF BRANDON DRURY and OF BILLY MCKINNEY from the NEW YORK YANKEES in exchange for LHP J.A. HAPP.
DRURY, 25, is batting .176 this season for the New York Yankees with two doubles, one home run and seven RBI in 18 games. The 6-2, 210 lb. right-handed hitter was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 13th round (404th overall) in the 2010 MLB First Year Player Draft. In four Major League seasons, the Grants Pass, Oregon native has a career average of .267 with 73 doubles, 32 home runs and 131 RBI in 307 games.
MCKINNEY, 23, has batted .228 this season with 10 doubles, 13 home runs and 35 RBI in 63 games for the Tampa Tarpons of the Florida State League (A+), Trenton Thunder of the Eastern League (AA) and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders of the International League (AAA). The left-hand hitting outfielder was selected by Oakland in the first round (24th overall) in the 2013 MLB First Year Player Draft. In six minor league seasons, he's posted a .272 average with 122 doubles, 54 home runs, 302 RBI and 21 stolen bases.
HAPP, 35, is 10-6 with a 4.18 ERA in 20 games started for the Blue Jays this season. The 6-5, 205 lb. left-handed pitcher has pitched 114.0 innings this season allowing 99 hits with 35 walks and 130 strikeouts. The native of Peru, IL owns a career record of 102-82 and a 3.95 ERA in 273 games for Philadelphia, Houston, Seattle and Toronto (2007-2018).
