The Arizona Diamondbacks have extended their player development contract with Single-A Advanced Visalia of the California League for 2 years through the 2020 season.

"We are excited to announce that we have extended our partnership with the Visalia Rawhide for at least the next 2 years," said Mike Bell, D-backs Vice President of Player Development. "Tom Seidler and Jenifer Reynolds have worked hard along with the city of Visalia to continue to improve the Recreation Park. Visalia is a terrific community, one that we are proud to be a part of."

A D-backs affiliate since 2007, the Rawhide have posted an 856-809 (.514) regular season record in that span. The Rawhide reached the CL playoffs for 4 straight seasons from 2013-16, and are currently tied for first place during the second half in the CL North Division. The 12-season partnership is the second longest among Arizona's active affiliations, behind only Rookie-Advanced Missoula (20).

Of the players on the D-backs active roster, 6 went through Visalia during their Minor League careers, including Archie Bradley, Andrew Chafin, Patrick Corbin, Zack Godley, Paul Goldschmidt and David Peralta.
