The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Chris Bassitt from Triple-A Nashville, the club announced today.
Bassitt joins the A's for the seventh time this year and is 2-3 with a 3.19 ERA in seven starts. He is 2-0 with a 2.66 ERA in four starts over his last two stints after going 0-3 with a 3.86 ERA in three starts over his first four. Bassitt was most recently called up on Aug. 26 and allowed a run on four hits in 4.2 innings in a start and no decision that day at Minnesota before being sent back to Nashville the next day. He is 5-5 with a 4.30 ERA in 18 games, 14 starts, with the Sounds, including 3-2 with a 2.70 ERA over his last eight games.
