White Sox reinstate Jose Abreu from disabled list

Prior to tonight's series opener at Kansas City, the Chicago White Sox reinstated first baseman José Abreu from the disabled list.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Prior to tonight's series opener at Kansas City, the Chicago White Sox reinstated first baseman José Abreu from the disabled list.
Abreu, 31, was placed on the disabled list on August 22 following successful outpatient surgery to relieve a testicular torsion. He is batting .272 (129-475) with team highs of 36 doubles, 22 home runs and 78 RBI over 122 games this season, his fifth with the White Sox.
Following the move, the White Sox active roster increases to 31.
