2015 World Series trophy to tour Royals' Minor League affiliates

The Kansas City Royals announced today the 2015 Commissioner's Trophy will embark on visits to six of the club's minor league affiliates' ballparks for games this spring and summer. Fans can see the trophy in person at each stop.

The Kansas City Royals announced today the 2015 Commissioner's Trophy will embark on visits to six of the club's minor league affiliates' ballparks for games this spring and summer. Fans can see the trophy in person at each stop.
Since the Royals first hoisted the trophy at Citi Field on November 1, 2015, it has traveled more than 15,000 miles, making several stops throughout the offseason. The Winter 'World Series Trophy Tour' in February included more than 30 appearances across Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa, covering nearly 4,000 miles. The trophy also made trips to Surprise, Ariz., for Spring Training, San Antonio, Texas for two exhibition games between the Royals and Rangers, along with a journey to Comberland, R.I., for engraving at Tiffany. The trophy's first trip after coming to Kansas City for the World Series Championship parade was back to New York with Eric Hosmer and Salvador Perez to appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
