We are mere days away from the culmination of the 2026 MLB season: The World Series presented by Capital One.
Here is what you need to know to get set for the 122nd edition of the Fall Classic.
How can I watch the 2026 World Series?
All games in the best-of-seven series will be aired on FOX and FOX Deportes. It will also be streamed on FOX One. Game start times are to be announced.
Which teams will play in the 2026 World Series?
With both League Championship Series ongoing, there are four teams still vying to reach the World Series. The Dodgers and Brewers are facing off in the NLCS while the Guardians and Rays are matched up in the ALCS.
The winners of those two series will vie for the sport's ultimate prize. The Brewers and Rays have never won a World Series. Cleveland's last World Series victory was in 1948 -- MLB's longest active title drought. Conversely, the Dodgers are the two-time defending World Series champs. Their nine titles are tied for the third most of any franchise.
What is the game schedule for this year's World Series?
The 2026 World Series is scheduled to begin on Friday, Oct. 23. If the series goes the distance, Game 7 will take place on Halloween -- Saturday, Oct. 31.
Game 1: Friday, Oct. 23
Game 2: Saturday, Oct. 24
Game 3: Monday, Oct. 26
Game 4: Tuesday, Oct. 27
Game 5: Wednesday, Oct. 28
Game 6: Friday, Oct. 30
Game 7: Saturday, Oct. 31
The National League winner -- either the Dodgers or the Brewers -- will have home-field advantage during the series. That's because each of those clubs ended the regular season with a better record than both the Guardians and Rays.
The NL team in the World Series will host Games 1 and 2. The AL team will host Games 3, 4 and 5 (if necessary). If there is a Game 6 and/or a Game 7, both of those games will take place in the NL winner's home stadium.
The Brewers (103-59), Dodgers (100-62) and Rays (98-64) finished with the three best records in the Majors, while the Guardians ranked 11th (85-77).
