A's host Twins to kick off 2020 season

August 13th, 2019

OAKLAND -- There will be no shortage of star power visiting the Coliseum the first month of the 2020 regular season.

The A’s kick off the season with a visit from the Twins, the first time the two clubs will meet on Opening Day since 1991. That four-game series (March 26-29) begins an opening month that includes matchups with the Astros (March 30 to April 1), Yankees (April 10-12) and Red Sox (April 13-15) in Oakland.

The annual Battle of the Bay will begin with the A’s hosting the Giants for two games (June 6-7) before they travel across the Bay Bridge to San Francisco for another two games (July 7-8).

The National League East will be featured in Interleague Play next season, with eight home games vs. the Braves (July 21-22), Marlins (June 29 to July 1) and Mets (Aug. 21-23). The A’s will make their first visit to Nationals Park since it opened in 2008 for a three-game series (Aug. 10-12), becoming the final club to make its first trip to the stadium. They’ll also head to SunTrust Park in Atlanta for a two-game series with the Braves (Aug. 25-26) and play a three-game series against the Phillies in Philadelphia (June 12-14).

Holiday games are always a big hit for families in the Bay Area, and the A’s will be home for games on Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Independence Day.
