CINCINNATI -- Phillies center fielder Adam Haseley had no reaction after he leaped high above the center-field wall to rob Freddy Galvis of a home run in the eighth inning of Wednesday night’s 8-5 loss to the Reds at Great American Ball Park. He squeezed the ball into his glove, landed on the warning track and casually jogged back to his spot before he showed everybody the ball.

“I think I was in shock,” Haseley said. “On camera it looks like it’s a lot longer, running in. But in my head it was …”

He snapped his fingers.

“He’s a showman,” teammate Brad Miller said.

The catch kept the Reds’ lead over the Phillies to one run, but it did not last long as Reds pitcher Michael Lorenzen hit a two-run homer to left field against Phillies pitcher Blake Parker to make it a three-run game.
