BALTIMORE -- Adam Jones made history Saturday night, becoming the all-time RBIs leader at Camden Yards with his three-run blast off Yankees reliever Nick Goody in Baltimore's 8-6 loss.
With the O's trailing, 7-3, in the seventh inning, Jones sent Goody's 1-0 slider over the wall in left-center field to record his 370th career RBI at Oriole Park. Jones passed Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. -- who had 368 -- for the most RBIs at the O's home park with the blast, his eighth of the season.
"That's impressive," manager Buck Showalter said of the record. "He's got more than Cal? Pretty significant milestone."
Jones' homer was the Orioles' third of the inning, with Mark Trumbo and Pedro Alvarez each going deep before that off of Yankees starter Ivan Nova. It scored Jonathan Schoop and Ryan Flaherty and gave Jones 29 RBIs on the season.

"I think that's pretty cool," Jones said. "It means I've been around here a little bit and I'm fortunate enough to be healthy, to play with some really good players over the years [who] get [on] base and score runs to allow me to get RBIs. It's not just something that I've accomplished, it's a team goal, because it's not like I hit home runs all the time and drive myself in. I've gotten base hits and my teammates have given maximal effort to score. So I tip my cap to my teammates for giving the effort and scoring on base hits for me."
Oriole Park opened in 1992, and Ripken played there for 10 seasons until the end of 2001. Jones, acquired in a trade from Seattle in February 2008, is in his ninth season playing at Camden Yards.
