PHOENIX -- The D-backs on Monday reached agreement with outfielder A.J. Pollock on a two-year contract, which avoids a salary arbitration hearing.
The deal is worth $10.25 million, according to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.
"It's an exciting time to be a Diamondback," Pollock said. "I'm glad to get the business side taken care of and focus on helping this team win."

The team had expressed a desire to sign Pollock to a multi-year contract following a 2015 season that saw him hit .315/.367/.498 with a career-high 192 hits, 20 home runs and 76 RBIs. He compiled the fourth-highest WAR by a position player in the National League.
This deal buys out his first two years of arbitration.
Pollock, who made $519,500 last year, was seeking $3.9 million in arbitration, while the team countered at $3.65 million.
