Dickerson, Renfroe homers pace El Paso

Left fielder extends Chihuahuas-record 15-game hitting streak

Left fielder Alex Dickerson hit two homers and extended his franchise-record hitting streak to 15 straight games and right fielder Hunter Renfroe hit his second homer in as many games Monday night to lead Triple-A El Paso to a 7-6 win over New Orleans in the Texas City.
Dickerson, whose hitting streak was interrupted by a two-week stay with the Padres, was 4-for-4 with a double, his fourth and fifth homers, three RBIs and three runs scored. He raised his batting average to .395.
Renfroe (.310) was 3-for-5 with his seventh homer and three RBIs.
Third baseman Diego Goris (.373) also homered for El Paso, which has won four straight games and has had nine hits or more in every game this month.
Starting pitcher Jeremy Guthrie (2-5, 7.07 ERA) allowed five runs (four earned) on nine hits and two walks with one strikeout in five innings.
Right-hander Seth Rosin (8.10 ERA) allowed a run on three hits with a strikeout in 1 2/3 innings. Left-hander Frank Garces (4.15) pitched a perfect 1 1/3 innings. Submarining right-hander Eric Yardley (0.00) pitched a perfect ninth to earn his first save with El Paso.
