The D-backs agreed to terms with catcher Andrew Yerzy, their second-round pick in the 2016 MLB Draft, on Monday.
A catcher from York Mills Collegiate Institute in Ontario, Yerzy will receive a $1,214,100 bonus -- the exact value for the No.52 overall pick, according to MLBPipeline.com's Jim Callis.

Yerzy was ranked as the No.157 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline.com, but he really shot up Draft boards this spring during Team Canada's annual tour through the Florida amateur circuit. Scouts love the power that came from Yerzy's 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame and left-handed swing, and he's projected to be a serviceable Major League catcher defensively.
Most famously, Yerzy excelled during the High School Select home run derby last July at All-Star Weekend in Cincinnati, where he advanced to the final round. The 17-year-old was committed to Notre Dame.
