Blue Jays' No. 23 prospect to step in for injured Mariners prospect

Blue Jays left-handed pitching prospect Angel Perdomo was added to the 2016 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game roster on Thursday as a member of the World Team.
Perdomo is replacing Mariners right-hander Dylan Unsworth, who will not play due to injury. Unsworth, who hails from South Africa, is currently on the disabled list with Double-A Jackson with a hamstring injury.

Toronto's No. 23 prospect according to MLBPipeline.com, Perdomo has a 2.48 ERA this season in 14 games, 12 of them starts, for Class A Lansing. The 22-year-old from the Dominican Republic has struck out 87 batters in 65 1/3 innings.
Perdomo joins fellow Blue Jays prospect Francisco Rios, a right-hander from Mexico, on the Futures Game World Team. Seattle is still being represented at the Futures Game by outfield prospect Tyler O'Neill.
