Angels non-tender Petit, Ege with roster full

December 3rd, 2016

The Angels took care of some roster construction Friday, not tendering contracts to veteran infielder and reliever Cody Ege, who now become free agents.
Neither player was on the Angels' 40-man roster at the time of the moves, having both been designated for assignment in the past three days to make room for new acquisitions. The Angels signed free-agent outfielder on Monday and received pitcher from the Royals in exchange for pitcher Jared Ruxer on Thursday.
