A's recall Ladendorf from Nashville; reinstate Triggs from DL; option Wendelken

The Oakland A's recalled infielder/outfielder Tyler Ladendorf from Triple-A Nashville, reinstated right-handed pitcher Andrew Triggs from the 15-day disabled list and optioned right-handed pitcher J.B. Wendelken to Nashville, the club announced today.

The Oakland A's recalled infielder/outfielder Tyler Ladendorf from Triple-A Nashville, reinstated right-handed pitcher Andrew Triggs from the 15-day disabled list and optioned right-handed pitcher J.B. Wendelken to Nashville, the club announced today.
Ladendorf joins the A's for the fourth time this year and is 3-for-36 (.083) in 35 games over his previous three stints. He was most recently with the club from July 1 to 18 and went 1-for-11 (.091) in nine games. The 28-year-old right-handed hitter batted .103 in 10 games with Nashville following his July 19 option and is hitting .234 in 35 games overall with the Sounds. Ladendorf has appeared in 20 games at first base, three at third base and one each at pitcher, center field and right field with the A's. With the Sounds, he appeared in 15 games in center field, eight at shortstop, eight in left field and three in right field.
Triggs was placed on the 15-day DL July 19 retroactive to July 18 with a left shin contusion and began a rehab assignment with Nashville a week ago today. He made three appearances with the Sounds, allowing a run on four hits and no walks while striking out two in 4.0 innings. Triggs has no decisions and a 5.83 ERA in 16 games with Oakland and is 2-1 with two saves and a 2.95 ERA in 16 appearances with Nashville.
Wendelken was recalled from Nashville a week ago today for his third stint with Oakland and appeared in one game, tossing 3.0 shutout innings at Cleveland on Sunday. He has an 8.44 ERA in three games overall with the A's and is also 1-4 with five saves and a 4.66 ERA in 33 games with the Sounds.
