Game will be played as part of doubleheader on Sept. 9

OAKLAND -- The Astros' scheduled finale on Sunday against the A's at the Coliseum was postponed due to rain.
The game will be made up during the Astros' final visit to Oakland on Sept. 9 as part of a doubleheader.
The game was postponed about two hours prior to first pitch, allowing the Astros to board a bus to San Francisco in the afternoon and fly back to Houston, where they will open a four-game series against the Angels on Monday. Houston has won four straight, and at 8-4, the Astros are off to their best start since 2006.
"It's rare to come to Oakland and get a rainout," Astros manager A.J. Hinch said. "So obviously the forecast isn't great. It's nice to get it called early and get home."
Right-hander Charlie Morton, who was originally scheduled to pitch Sunday, will be bumped to Monday and start the opener against the Angels. Hinch didn't say how the rest of the starting rotation will be mapped out for the Angels series. Prior to the rainout, the Astros were going to start Joe Musgrove on Monday, Mike Fiers on Tuesday, on Wednesday and on Thursday.
