HOUSTON -- With voting for the Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot closing at 10:59 p.m. CT on Thursday, Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa and George Springer remain in line to start the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard in the final ballot update released on Monday.
The starters and rosters for the Midsummer Classic -- to be held on July 11 at Marlins Park in Miami -- will be revealed on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Altuve is the second leading AL vote-getter with 2,925,041 million votes, trailing only Yankees slugger Aaron Judge's 3,442,597 votes. Altuve, a 2016 AL MVP finalist who's in line to make his fourth straight All-Star Game, is hitting .319/.393/.521 with 11 homers and 36 RBIs.
Correa, with 2,229,857 votes, has extended his lead since last week's update ahead of Cleveland's Francisco Lindor (1,648,532) at shortstop. Correa is batting .303 with 14 home runs and 48 RBIs.
"It would be really special to be able to turn a double play in the All-Star Game with my double-play partner," Correa said last week. "That's definitely something that would be really cool."
In a closer race with another member of the Indians, Springer's tally of 1,619,385 votes is nearly 300,000 more than Michael Brantley (1,325,473 votes) in the race for the final AL outfield spot. Springer, known best for his acrobatic catches and prodigious power (22 homers), is seeking his first All-Star appearance.
"He does so many things well on the field," said Astros manager A.J. Hinch. "Now he has some versatility in the outfield, he hits for power. … Statistically, whatever the highest numbers are around the league, I think he can accomplish them. I don't know if he can put it together in one particular season, but really, any number you throw at me in the home runs, RBIs, run scored, Gold Gloves -- nothing would surprise me with George."
Astros catcher Brian McCann was bumped back to third at catcher at 1,330,042 votes -- 7,000 behind second-place Gary Sanchez of the Yankees, and approximately 800,000 votes behind No. 1 catcher, Kansas City's Salvador Perez.
Fans may cast votes for starters at MLB.com and all 30 club sites -- on computers, tablets and smartphones -- exclusively online using the 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday at 10:59 p.m. CT. On smartphones and tablets, fans can also access the ballot via the MLB.com At Bat and MLB.com Ballpark mobile apps. 
The Esurance All-Star Selection Show will take place on Sunday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. Following the unveiling of the 2017 All-Star starters, reserves and pitchers, fans should return to MLB.com and cast their 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote for the final player on each league's All-Star roster. Then on Tuesday, July 11, while watching the 2017 All-Star Game presented by Mastercard live on FOX, fans may visit MLB.com to submit their choices for the Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award presented by Chevrolet with the 2017 MLB All-Star Game MVP Vote.
