Carlos Rodón, Anthony Volpe and Gerrit Cole, Yankees
Rodón (left elbow surgery) threw 20 pitches in live batting practice on March 9. The Yankees expect to have him built up to 40-50 pitches by Opening Day, leaving open the possibility of an April return.
Volpe (left shoulder labrum tear) is hitting overhand tosses and participating in all defensive and baserunning drills as of March 9.
Cole (right elbow ligament tear) threw two innings of live batting practice on March 6.
Hyeseong Kim, Blake Snell and Gavin Stone, Dodgers
Kim suffered an apparent left hand injury while stealing a base during World Baseball Classic pool play on March 8 and was out of the lineup on March 9.
Snell, who slow-played his offseason throwing program due to lingering left shoulder discomfort, could progress to throwing off a mound during the week of March 9.
Stone (recovery from right shoulder surgery) has inflammation but no structural damage in his shoulder and was shut down from throwing for at least a couple of weeks as of March 3.
Patrick Sandoval, Kutter Crawford and Romy Gonzalez, Red Sox
Sandoval (left UCL repair) will throw an extended bullpen session on March 12 and resume facing hitters in the week of March 16.
Crawford (right wrist subsheath tear) will throw two innings of live batting practice on March 12 and could return to game action soon after.
Gonzalez will visit Dr. Jeffrey Dugas on March 10 in Alabama to determine whether he will need surgery on his ailing left shoulder.
Joe Ryan, Twins
Ryan (back inflammation) will likely make his Spring Training debut March 9 or 10.
Corbin Carroll and Merrill Kelly, D-backs
Carroll, who took live batting practice on March 6 and March 8, appears on track to be ready for Opening Day.
Kelly (intercostal nerve irritation) threw a 26-pitch bullpen session on March 5 and followed with a 23-pitch live BP session on March 8.
Jeremy Peña and Josh Hader, Astros
Peña suffered a fracture in the tip of his right ring finger playing for the Dominican Republic in a March 4 exhibition game against the Tigers. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks and will stay with the Astros while he recovers, meaning he will miss the World Baseball Classic.
Hader (left biceps tendinitis) was scheduled to throw his first bullpen session on March 9 or 10.
Joey Wentz, Braves
Wentz suffered a torn right ACL in a collision at first base on March 8 and will miss the entire 2026 season.
Hunter Greene, Reds
Greene (right elbow stiffness) was scheduled to undergo an MRI on March 6.
Logan Henderson and Quinn Priester, Brewers
Henderson (Milwaukee's No. 7 prospect) was scratched from his scheduled start against the Dodgers on March 9 due to mild right elbow soreness.
The Brewers are considering sending Priester (right wrist soreness) to a specialist for more information about the source of his lingering discomfort, manager Pat Murphy said. As of March 5, Priester had not thrown off a mound in more than a week.
Yandy Díaz, Chandler Simpson, Cedric Mullins and Gavin Lux, Rays
Díaz has been out of action since March 3 due to left hand soreness. He could resume cage work on March 10.
Simpson (left hamstring tightness), Mullins (lower back tightness) and Lux (overall soreness) are both expected to be in the lineup on March 10; Lux will be making his 2026 Spring Training debut.
Bryce Miller, Mariners
Miller (left side oblique inflammation) threw 15-20 pitches off the mound at an 80-90% effort on March 8.
Francisco Lindor, Mets
Lindor played catch on March 3 and took swings on March 4, both for the first time since undergoing surgery to repair a stress reaction in his left hamate bone.
Hunter Gaddis, Guardians
Gaddis (right forearm tightness) was throwing at 90-120 feet as of March 9 and is anticipated to resume throwing off a mound in the coming days.
Jackson Holliday, Orioles
Holliday (right hamate bone fracture) is hitting two-handed off a tee as of March 7.
Trey Sweeney, Jackson Jobe, Beau Brieske, Sawyer Gipson-Long and Josue Briceño, Tigers
Sweeney (right shoulder strain) is not throwing after reporting discomfort during infield drills. He is able to participate in other baseball activities.
Jobe (Tommy John surgery) played catch out to 105 feet three times during the week of March 2.
Brieske (right rib cage tightness) is scheduled to pitch in a simulated game on March 10.
Gipson-Long (left oblique strain) reported feeling good after a March 7 bullpen session.
Briceño, MLB Pipeline's No. 40 overall prospect, expects to miss “a few months” after undergoing surgery March 4 to repair the extensor carpi ulnaris subsheath in his right wrist.
Zack Wheeler, Orion Kerkering and Aidan Miller, Phillies
Wheeler (right upper extremity blood clot) threw his fourth bullpen session on March 7.
Kerkering (Grade 1 right hamstring strain) threw his third bullpen session on March 7.
Miller, MLB Pipeline's No. 23 overall prospect, is still sidelined by a recurring back issue. It’s unclear if he will play in any Grapefruit League games or be ready for Triple-A Lehigh Valley’s season opener on March 27.
Jason Adam and Yuki Matsui, Padres
Adam (left quadriceps tendon rupture) began infield drills earlier this month and is targeting an Opening Day return.
Matsui (left groin strain) threw his first post-injury bullpen session on March 6 but had yet to face hitters as of a March 9 update. His Opening Day status remains unclear.
Josh Lowe, Ben Joyce and Robert Stephenson, Angels
Lowe (left oblique discomfort) took batting practice on March 8 and participated in outfield drills on March 9.
Joyce (right shoulder surgery) has been throwing bullpens without issue but is unlikely to be ready for Opening Day.
Stephenson (right elbow inflammation) faced hitters for the first time on March 6 and looked sharp, hitting 95 mph with his fastball and getting several swings and misses with his slider and splitter. He believes he remains on track for Opening Day.
Kyle Stowers and Adam Mazur, Marlins
Stowers (right hamstring strain) began a running progression March 5 and faced live pitching March 6. There is no set date for his return to outfield work.
Mazur will visit Dr. Keith Meister in Dallas during the week of March 9 after experiencing right elbow discomfort during his last Grapefruit League outing on March 2.
