Here's MLB Pipeline's roundup of the top prospect performances in the Minor Leagues on Monday.
The season may be young, but Michael Baumann has already made a strong case to be promoted to a more advanced level.
Baumann, Baltimore's No. 13 prospect, won his third straight start for Class A Delmarva, tossing a career-high seven scoreless innings in a 1-0 victory over Columbia. He allowed two hits and struck out eight in the outing, throwing 66 of his 92 pitches for strikes.

Baltimore's third-round pick in 2017 out of Jacksonville, Baumann has emerged as one of the South Atlantic League's better pitchers in his first full season. After Monday's performance, the 22-year-old righty ranks first in the circuit in wins (5-0), fifth in ERA (1.42) and fourth in strikeouts (47).
What's more, Baumann has given up two or fewer earned runs, without allowing more than five hits, in each of his seven starts for the Shorebirds. He's been especially sharp lately, too, allowing one earned run on nine hits, with 20 strikeouts and four walks, in 19 innings spanning three starts.
For his career, Baumann is 9-2 with a 1.34 ERA in 18 games (17 starts). He's held opposing hitters to a .177 average and just two home runs, compiling 90 strikeouts against 32 walks in 80 1/3 innings.

• No. 2 overall prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Blue Jays' No. 1) bumped his batting average up to .405 thanks to his third straight multihit game for Double-A New Hampshire. The 19-year-old phenom, named to his second Prospect Team of the Week earlier in the day, hit a solo shot in his first at-bat before finishing 3-for-5 with two RBIs. On top of his robust average, Guerrero has now accrued 51 hits, 20 extra-base hits (6 homers) and 38 RBIs, with more walks (15) than strikeouts (13), in 32 Double-A contests. Bo Bichette (Blue Jays' No. 2, No. 11 overall) also went 3-for-5 in the Fisher Cats' victory, marking his first multihit performance in over a week.

• Making his second rehab start for Class A Peoria, No. 17 overall prospect Alex Reyes (Cardinals' No. 1) dominated as he recorded 12 of his 15 outs via the strikeout -- while registering triple digits on the radar gun -- over five scoreless innings. He permitted one hit and two walks and pounded the strike zone with 51 of his 80 pitches. After losing all of 2017 to Tommy John surgery, Reyes has returned to the mound to record 18 strikeouts in 8 1/3 scoreless innings.
• No. 78 overall prospect Tyler O'Neill (Cardinals' No. 3) homered for a third straight day, hitting a pair of solo shots that proved the difference in Triple-A Memphis' 2-1 victory over Nashville. The 22-year-old slugger has gone deep seven times in his past 10 games to push his 2018 total to 13 homers, the highest mark among active hitters in the Pacific Coast League.

• Angels' No. 7 prospect Griffin Canning fired 4 1/3 scoreless innings as Double-A Mobile pulled off its second combined no-hitter in three weeks. The 2017 second-rounder struck out eight and issued two walks in the outing before turning the ball over to a trio of BayBears relievers for the final 4 2/3 frames. Canning also was the starting pitcher in Mobile's previous combined no-no on April 28. Altogether, the 22-year-old right-hander has held hitters to a paltry .153 average while registering a 1.49 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 36 1/3 innings (eight starts) across two levels.
• D-backs' No. 4 prospectTaylor Widener's longest start of the season resulted in his first win, as the 23-year-old right-hander posted six innings of two-hit ball to lead Double-A Jackson past Mississippi, 5-0. Acquired from the Yankees in an offseason trade, Widener has pitched to a 3.16 ERA with 52 strikeouts and a .201 opponents' average 37 innings (eight starts) in his first Double-A campaign.
• D-backs' No. 24 prospect Brian Shaffer struck out a career-high 11 batters and allowed one hit over 5 2/3 scoreless innings as Class A Kane County shut out Burlington, 5-0. The 21-year-old righty has permitted one or fewer earned runs in five straight starts, during which he's lowered his ERA from 6.23 to 2.45.
• Pirates' No. 21 prospect Jason Martin, fresh off earning PTOW honors, stayed red-hot with his sixth straight multihit game, going 3-for-4 with his second homer in as many days in Double-A Altoona's loss against Richmond. The 22-year-old is hitting .486 (18-for-37) over his past 10 contests, during which he's raised his season slash line from .296/.354/.507 to .361/.417/.639.

• Royals 'No. 3 prospect Seuly Matias and MJ Melendez (No. 4) each hit a two-run home run and combined to score four runs, though it wasn't enough to keep Class A Lexington from falling to Greenville, 13-12. Matias, 19, currently leads the South Atlantic League with 12 home runs -- a total he's achieved in just 30 games after totaling 15 homers in 110 games across his first two pro campaigns. Melendez, also 19, had an even better game, going 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored to go along with his fourth home run.
• Twins' No. 7 prospect Brusdar Graterol used his triple-digit fastball to rack up a career-high 10 strikeouts as he recorded his first win of the year for Class A Cedar Rapids. The 19-year-old flamethrower has been excellent to begin his first full season, pitching to a 0.63 ERA (and 0.63 WHIP) with 21 strikeouts and one walk in 14 1/3 innings (three starts).
