The Indians are headed to the postseason for the first time since 2013 after winning the American League Central. As this will be the first time that many fans across the Majors will be focusing on their roster, here's our attempt to learn the origins of ace reliever Andrew Miller.

Path to Cleveland: Miller was acquired at the Trade Deadline from the Yankees for four Minor Leaguers. He previously appeared for the Tigers, Marlins, Red Sox, Orioles and Yankees.
Trophy case: Miller was the 2015 Mariano Rivera Reliever Award winner and a 2016 All-Star.
Famous feat: Miller made his Major League debut with Detroit on Aug. 30, 2006 -- 10 days after making his professional debut following being drafted that same year.
You might not know: Miller made his Major League debut against the Yankees. He hit one batter, but retired three of the four batters he faced. The inning ended with a Derek Jeter groundout.
Six degrees of Willie Aikens: The 2011 Red Sox had a great deal of talent despite finishing third in the AL East. Miller was teammates with current Dodgers first baseman Adrián González, Dodgers outfielder Josh Reddick, Cubs left-hander Jon Lester, Cubs right-hander John Lackey and Dodgers left-hander Rich Hill. And, of course, there were current Red Sox players Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz.
"He's a great teammate," Mike Napoli said. "A good guy on and off the field. Someone that will fit in really well here. Not rowdy, a quiet guy. Goes about his business the right way. Plays the game the right way. A fun teammate."
UNC legend: Miller set Tar Heel strikeout records for a single season (133) and career (325). His No. 33 was retired in January.
Top prospect: Miller, as well as Cameron Maybin, were the top prospects acquired by the Marlins from Detroit in 2007 for Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis.
