TORONTO -- The Blue Jays are returning to Montreal once again.

For the seventh consecutive year, the only squad north of the border will see its 2020 Spring Training slate come to a close at Olympic Stadium. The Blue Jays will host the American League East champion Yankees March 23-24, ahead of their home opener at Rogers Centre against the Red Sox on March 26.

“We are excited to return to Montreal once again to celebrate the city’s rich baseball history and tradition,” Toronto president and CEO Mark Shapiro said in a release. “Getting the privilege to play at Olympic Stadium in front of thousands of passionate baseball fans always reminds us of how honored we are to represent Canadians from coast to coast.”

The Blue Jays began playing exhibition games in Montreal in 2014, taking on the Mets, Reds, Red Sox, Pirates, Cardinals and Brewers at the Big O in events presented by Rogers and Evenko.

“It’s always a great honor for us to host the Blue Jays in Montreal,” said Edith Cloutier, president of Rogers Communications Quebec. “Quebecers have baseball tattooed on their hearts and we are proud to connect sports fans to what matters most to them.”
