PHILADELPHIA -- The Blue Jays put the finishing touches on their 2016 MLB Draft on Saturday and now the club is working out a number of deals with their top picks, according to MLB.com's Jim Callis.
A source told Callis that Toronto agreed to terms with second-round picks Bo Bichette and J.B Woodman, third-round pick Zach Jackson, sixth-round pick D.J. Daniels, seventh-round pick Andy Ravel and eighth-round pick Kyle Weatherly. Callis previously reported fifth-round pick Cavan Biggio also agreed to terms.
The club has not confirmed any deals.
According to Callis, Bichette's deal is worth $1.1 million compared to a slot value of $978,600. Woodman will get $975,000 vs. a slot value of $1.124 million, and Jackson is set to earn $540,000 compared to a $585,100 slot. Daniels agreed to a $300,000 deal compared to a $245,600 slot, and Weatherly will make $250,000 compared to $252,000.
Bichette, the son of 14-year MLB veteran Dante Bichette, finished his senior year at Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Fla., with a .569 batting average and 13 home runs. He has a lot of moving parts in his swing but the Blue Jays really like what they saw over the last 12 months.
"The swing works for him," Blue Jays director of amateur scouting Brian Parker said late last week. "We scouted Bo a lot. We saw him last summer, he had a great summer against some of the best competition in the U.S. That's some of the stuff that we keep track of, what they're doing against the better competition in summer ball, because they're facing good pitching. He did really well with that.
"We actually had Bo at our complex this spring. His team was playing a tournament at our complex. We got a chance to see him, we got a chance to work him out a couple of different times this spring. This is a guy we had targeted all spring. We were hoping we'd have a chance to get him and we were able to get him in the second round and we're really excited to get him going."

• Parker on Woodman: "He's a two-way center fielder that can do a little bit of everything. He had a really good year in the SEC and he's a guy that kind of brings everything, in addition to being able to stay in center field, which is a plus for us."
• Parker on fourth-round pick Joshua Pilacios: "He missed some time at the end of the year [with a wrist injury]. He tried to come back late, probably would have been better served not to, but we got some good looks at him early in the spring. We actually scouted him last year when he was in junior college out in Texas. We had a bit of a history with him coming into the year, and he started playing really well. We looked at him early in the year playing for Auburn. He had a great year, the injury knocked him out for a little bit and that may have helped us."
• Parker on 26th-round pick Ben Anderson, the twin brother of Ian Anderson, who was No. 3 overall pick by Atlanta: "We're looking at him as a pitcher. Our area scout really had a strong gut feel on this guy. He really wanted us to take a shot at drafting him and seeing if we can get him into our system. It's a young kid that doesn't have a ton of pitching background because he has been catching. We'll get him away from catching, getting him focused on the mound. I think with what we do with our type of pitching programs that we can do in the Minor Leagues, I think he's a guy we're always looking for."
