This is one of the first reports linking the Blue Jays and Cashner together this offseason, but Toronto is known to have been interested for quite some time. Cashner is coming off a strong run with the Rangers, but he may be forced to settle for a short-term deal. It was reported earlier in the offseason that Cashner initially was seeking a three-year deal. His representatives met with the Orioles and there are still ties to the Rangers' organization.
