The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have signed DH/1B KENDRYS MORALESto a three-year contract worth $US 33 million.
MORALES, 33, posted a .263 average with 30 home runs and 93 RBI last season for Kansas City, his 2nd 30+ home run season in his 10-year career (LAA, SEA, MIN, and KC). The switch-hitter owns a .273 career average with a .795 OPS, including a .808 OPS vs. RHP. Originally from Fomento, Cuba, Morales has extensive playoff experience, playing in four separate post seasons for Los Angeles Angels (2007, 2008, 2009) and the World Series Champion Kansas City Royals (2015).
