Jose Altuve cannot be contained. The base hit plated Alex Bregman, who reached base on a double after George Springer led off the frame with a home run for his first hit in this postseason. Houston took a 4-1 lead into the fourth inning.

2:29 p.m. ET: Orange, crushed: Correa gives Astros early lead
The Astros picked up right where they left off, jumping on Red Sox lefty Drew Pomeranz for two runs in the first inning, courtesy of Carlos Correa's two-out, two-run homer. Naturally, it was Jose Altuve, the American League Most Valuable Player Award candidate who homered three times in Houston's 8-2 Game 1 victory on Thursday, who kickstarted the early offensive doings, clobbering the first pitch he saw from Pomeranz for a single. That's when Correa stepped to the plate, drawing a 2-2 count and fouling off three straight pitches before sending a fastball into the left-field seats for a 2-0 lead.
