HOUSTON -- Brad Peacock played catch prior to Houston's series opener against Arizona on Friday, and the right-hander has been cleared for baseball activities following a bout with hand, foot and mouth disease.
"I feel great, I feel good now. I have the last couple of days," Peacock said. "I just had a couple of blisters on my hand, feet, face. It wasn't too fun."
The Astros reliever said he got sick after the first game of the series in Boston on Sept. 7.
"I got to the hotel and felt pretty bad," Peacock said. "I thought I had a cold. It was weird. I had never even heard of this stuff until this year. I heard it's pretty common in kids."

Peacock believes he contracted the disease from his infant son, Colton, who came down with a fever during the Astros' previous homestand.
Following Boston, the Astros continued their road trip to Detroit, where Peacock said he spent a night in his hotel room playing video games before flying to Houston on Tuesday.
Hand, foot and mouth disease is a virus mostly seen in toddlers and young children, and it is contagious, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Peacock last pitched on Sept. 5, against Minnesota, tossing a scoreless inning with one strikeout and one walk. Among American League relievers, Peacock is seventh in strikeouts per nine innings (13.50) and seventh in strikeouts (88).
