Tribe's Zimmer exits after HBP in Triple-A game

August 11th, 2016

WASHINGTON -- Indians No. 1 prospect Bradley Zimmer was removed from Triple-A Columbus' game against Toledo on Wednesday night after being hit on the left middle finger by a pitch.
Zimmer, who is also MLBPipeline.com's 31st-ranked prospect, was attempting to bunt in the fifth inning of Columbus' game. The outfielder was then hit by a pitch from Toledo's Matt Crouse and immediately replaced by Clippers outfielder .
"It looks like it's going to be OK," Clippers manager Chris Tremie told reporters Wednesday night. "Obviously, squaring around to bunt, it's an impact on the fingers and doesn't look like anything seriously wrong with it."
Zimmer is scheduled to be re-evaluated on Thursday.
