February 10th, 2016

The Giants and Brandon Belt have agreed to a one-year deal to avoid arbitration, a source told MLB.com on Wednesday.
MLB Network's Jon Heyman reported the terms to be $6.2 million.

Belt filed for $7.5 million, more than doubling the $3.6 million he earned last season. The Giants submitted a figure of $5.3 million.
Belt, who turns 28 on April 20, hit .280/.356/.478 with career highs in home runs (18) and RBIs (68) in 2015. He is a .271 career hitter in five seasons, all with the Giants.
