PHILADELPHIA – The Phillies badly need a break, and maybe they got one in the first inning on Saturday night.
Brandon Marsh robbed Braves right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. of a home run on the first pitch of the game at Citizens Bank Park. Phillies left-hander Cristopher Sánchez started Acuña with a fastball that Acuña smashed to center field.
The ball left Acuña’s bat at 107.6 mph.
But Marsh tracked the ball and timed his jump perfectly at the center-field wall to rob Acuña of his second homer of the season.
