ATLANTA -- Right-handed reliever Chris Withrow no longer has to worry about going to an arbitration case before making his first appearance for the Braves. Withrow and the Braves avoided arbitration on Thursday afternoon when they agreed to a one-year, $610,000 deal.
Withrow produced a 2.73 ERA and limited opponents to a .157 batting average over the 46 appearances he combined to make for the Dodgers during the 2013-14 seasons.

The hard-throwing 26-year-old reliever was acquired by the Braves in May, a little more than a year after he underwent Tommy John surgery.
As Withrow was sidelined throughout this past season, he also recovered from lower back surgery that was completed to repair a herniated disc in December 2014. He has the potential to serve as a primary setup man in Atlanta's bullpen this year.
