The Braves already have a Top 100 prospect in their rotation. Meanwhile, their top arm on the farm delivered a bounceback start on Sunday.

Cam Caminiti tossed five scoreless innings in High-A Rome's 6-5 extra-inning victory over Bowling Green at AdventHealth Stadium. MLB's No. 59 prospect added to a successful week for Atlanta after JR Ritchie (MLB No. 79) made his second big league start Wednesday.

After being tagged for a career-high seven runs (six earned) in Tuesday's outing to open the series for the Emperors, Caminiti turned in his second scoreless outing of the season. The 19-year-old southpaw tallied five strikeouts, while yielding four singles and two walks.

Caminiti surrendered a second-pitch single to Adrian Santana (Rays) to open the series finale. During a seven-pitch battle with Theo Gillen (MLB No. 66) that resulted in a walk, the 24th overall pick in the 2024 Draft picked off Santana attempting to steal second base.

Caminiti's first strikeout of the afternoon was Nathan Flewelling (TB No. 10) in the first, and he completed his start with a five-pitch strikeout of Gillen in the fifth that stranded runners at first and second. Only one runner got into scoring position against Caminiti.
