Atlanta Braves General Manager John Coppolella announced today that the Club has declined its 2017 option on the contract of pitching coach Roger McDowell.
"Roger is a terrific coach and an even better person," Coppolella said. "We wish him and his family nothing but the best in the future."
McDowell, 55, joined the Braves staff in 2006 and just completed his 11th season with the organization.
