NEW YORK – Tuesday’s game between the Mets and Braves has been postponed due to heavy rain in the forecast. It will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Wednesday, with start times at 1:10 and 7:10 p.m. ET.
Though little rain fell over Queens on Tuesday morning, thunderstorms were forecast to intensify by early evening. The National Weather Service forecasted up to two inches of rain with winds reaching 15 mph.
The teams have yet to announce their full pitching plans. Christian Scott and Sean Manaea will start in some order for the Mets, with Chris Sale and Grant Holmes going for the Braves.
Fans with tickets to Tuesday's originally scheduled game can use them for the night game Wednesday. Those who do not attend the makeup will automatically receive a voucher to a remaining 2026 Mets home game. More information is available at Mets.com/Rain.
