MILWAUKEE -- Outfielder Corey Ray, the Brewers' most recent first-round Draft pick, is sidelined indefinitely after undergoing surgery for a torn meniscus in his left knee, farm director Tom Flanagan confirmed.
The injury was reported Wednesday by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Flanagan said the timetable for Ray's recovery is yet to be determined, and that he will remain at the team's year-round facility in Phoenix for rehab.

Ray was injured sliding into third base in an instructional league game, where he was logging additional at-bats after hitting .239/.307/.385 in 60 games between advanced Class A Brevard County and Class A Wisconsin during the regular season.
The Brewers drafted Ray fifth overall out of the University of Louisville in June. He turned 22 last month.
