Injury: Right elbow surgery
Expected return: 2026
Status: Underwent an arthroscopic procedure on Oct. 30 to remove a bone spur in his throwing elbow. Because the procedure was minor, it is not expected to delay the start of his offseason workouts. (updated Nov. 6)
C William Contreras
Injury: Left middle finger surgery
Expected return: 2026
Status: Underwent a procedure the week of Halloween to address a longstanding fracture in the middle finger of his glove hand. GM Matt Arnold characterized it as “minor,” and he said Contreras would be sidelined from baseball activities for 5-6 weeks but is expected to be healthy in plenty of time for Spring Training. RHP J.B. Bukauskas
Injury: Right lat surgery
Expected return: 2026
Status: Suffered a major setback while throwing live batting practice on Feb. 19 and missed all of 2025. (updated: Oct. 20)
OF Garrett Mitchell
Injury: Left oblique, left shoulder
Expected return: 2026
Status: Underwent surgery on July 1 and expects a relatively normal ramp-up to the start of Spring Training. (updated: Oct. 17) More >>
