Jesús Made enjoys four-hit, four-RBI double dip at Double-A

Jesús Made is the youngest player currently competing at the Double-A level, but he certainly isn't playing like it.

In Biloxi’s Saturday doubleheader against Columbus at Synovus Park, the Brewers' No. 1 prospect went a combined 4-for-8 with a double, triple and four RBIs, pushing his season OPS to .815 and giving the 19-year-old 15 multihit games this season.

After grounding out in his first at-bat of the night, MLB’s No. 1 prospect closed out Game 1 of the twin bill by logging three hits in his final three at-bats.

In the third and the sixth, Made showcased his 60-grade hit tool by lining a pair of two-strike singles. Then, later in the sixth, the Dominican Republic native strode to the dish with the bases loaded and two outs. After falling behind in the count 1-2, Made’s elite bat-to-ball skills flashed again, as he went down in the zone and golfed a bases-clearing triple into the right-center gap, securing his seventh game with three or more hits this season.

Made's lone knock in the final leg of Saturday's doubleheader was a ringing two-out RBI double off right-hander Ian Mejia (Braves). With teammate Dasan Brown coming around to score, it marked Made’s 24th RBI in the month of May, the most in the Southern League.

It's also worth noting that all four of Made's RBIs against Columbus came with two outs. It continues to speak to his trait of being one of the more clutch hitters in all of the Minors this season. When hitting with two outs and runners in scoring position this year, Made has been nothing short of exceptional, posting a .393 average with 17 RBIs and a 1.020 OPS.

Made’s performance in 2026 isn’t just impressive relative to his age, but also when compared to his peers in the Southern League. Despite being over five years younger than the average player at the Double-A level, Made currently ranks inside the top 5 in the Southern League in RBIs (40, first), hits (53, second) and runs (36, third).

It’s because of this production he’s provided atop the lineup that Biloxi finds itself leading the Southern League in runs (281) scored and in OPS (.773).

The last time a teenager in the Brewers' system flashed like this at Double-A was in 2023, when a young Jackson Chourio took the Southern League by storm. However, even his numbers in his first 50 Double-A games -- where he posted a .724 OPS and a .419 slugging percentage -- are below the pace as to what Made has accomplished at the start of his time in Biloxi.
