PITTSBURGH -- will be the Dodgers' starting pitcher on Tuesday, but still won't be in the lineup because of a sprained right ankle, manager Dave Roberts said on Monday.
Stewart will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to take the start of , who is on the 10-day disabled list with lower back stiffness. Darvish threw a bullpen session on Monday and is expected to be activated to start for the Dodgers on Sunday.
"He had some thoughts on his mechanics, [pitching coach Rick Honeycutt] had some thoughts," said Roberts. "His back felt good with the flight. He's penciled in for Sunday."
Bellinger was injured on Saturday while making a running catch in Detroit. Roberts said the ankle is improved, but still swollen. Roberts would not speculate on Bellinger's status beyond saying that he was out on Monday and also won't start on Tuesday. Roberts said Bellinger was "showing some signs of improvement" and was available for pinch-hitting.
Stewart is 0-0 with a 1.64 ERA in nine games, two starts, for the Dodgers this season. As a starter, he has a 2.35 ERA; but he's pitched only 7 2/3 innings in a starting role, while walking four with three strikeouts.
