PHILADELPHIA -- Bryce Harper is back to bashing baseballs.
Less than 24 hours after he dropped a bunt down the third-base line for his first of hit of the season, Harper crushed a first-pitch fastball from Marlins right-hander Robert Dugger into right field for a three-run home run in the first inning of Sunday afternoon's 11-6 loss to the Marlins at Citizens Bank Park.
It was Harper’s first homer of the season. The ball left his bat at 109.1 mph and traveled a projected 393 feet, according to Statcast.
Adam Haseley started the inning with a single, and Rhys Hoskins followed with a double to set up Harper’s homer.
