Jamie Foxx & Jason Taylor added to 2017 MLB All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game roster

Major League Baseball today announced the addition of some prominent stars to its roster scheduled to play in the 2017 All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game. New participants include:

  • Jamie Foxx -- Academy Award winner for his portrayal of Ray Charles and two-time Grammy Award winner. Foxx is also the host of Beat Shazam on FOX and star of Baby Driver in theatres this weekend
  • Jason Taylor -- 2017 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductee and Miami Dolphins defensive end for 13 of his 15 NFL seasons
  • Bernie Williams -- Four-time World Series Champion and a five-time All-Star
  • Fred Lynn -- Nine-time All-Star and 1975 American League MVP and Rookie of the Year

Foxx, Davidson, Taylor, Williams and Lynn join the star-studded roster of names from movies, television, music and sports announced earlier this month including: Dascha Polanco, Jencarlos Canela, William Levy, Jessica Mendoza, Christopher Jackson, Miles Teller, Justin Hartley, Jennie Finch , Michael Cudiltz, Diesel Brothers' Heavy D, Iván "Pudge" Rodríguez , Tim Raines, Benito Santiago, Al Leiter, Andre Dawson and Rickey Henderson. Superstar rapper, songwriter & Miami-native Flo Rida will perform on-field between the conclusion of the Futures Game and the start of the Legends & Celebrity Game. The remaining celebrity and legend participants will be announced at a later date. The Legends & Celebrity Softball Game will be televised by ESPN immediately following the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday, July 10th.
