Facing unbeaten PR, Canada eyes win to keep pace in Pool A (7 p.m. ET, Tubi)

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- One place is cold for much of the year. One place is hot all the time.

Both places have bred some of the best baseball players on the planet.

Canada (1-1) takes on Puerto Rico (3-0) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET (on Tubi) in Pool A of the World Baseball Classic. Larry Walker, Joey Votto, Fergie Jenkins vs. Roberto Clemente, Pudge Rodriguez and Juan Gonzalez. This is international baseball at its best.

How you can watch: The Canada-Puerto Rico game will be available on Tubi.

Team results: Canada is 1-1 after beating Colombia on Saturday and losing a tight, one-run game to Panama on Sunday night. Puerto Rico is 3-0 after beating Colombia to open pool play on Friday, winning in dramatic fashion over Panama on Saturday night and topping Cuba, 4-1, on Monday to clinch a spot in the quarterfinals.

What’s at stake: If Canada wins, it will move to 2-1 and a tie with Cuba. If Puerto Rico wins, it’ll move to 4-0.

Matchup history: These two teams have, somehow, never faced each other in Classic play -- even though they’ve both participated in each of the last five WBCs. You’ll want to tune in to tell people you saw the first time.
