ARLINGTON -- The Rangers’ rehabbing starters returned to their respective affiliates for their next starts on Friday, with Jordan Montgomery joining Triple-A Round Rock and Cody Bradford joining Double-A Frisco.
Montgomery is nearing a return to the big league mound for the first time since Sept. 22, 2024, while Bradford is weeks behind him in his rehab.
How did Bradford perform?
Bradford threw three scoreless innings with four strikeouts. He threw 48 pitches, 39 for strikes. There was no Statcast available for the matchup.

Bradford will continue his slow buildup, likely with four innings in his next start, five after that and so on.

“In my last start, I probably executed around 25% of my pitches where I wanted it to go,” Bradford said earlier this homestand. “I think I'm pretty strict and tough on myself with execution. That's a big part of my game. I need to execute the pitch as well because I don't throw as hard. So I would like that to be a lot closer to 75%.”

Montgomery’s scheduled start in Albuquerque was postponed due to rain. A doubleheader between the two teams is scheduled for Saturday, July 25. It is unclear if Montgomery will pitch in one of the doubleheader games or go elsewhere.
