Colombia righty was scratched from his scheduled World Baseball Classic start against Canada on Saturday with a right shoulder impingement. According to Team Colombia, the issue flared up while Teheran was warming up. As a precautionary measure, Colombia pivoted to Austin Bergner.

In parts of 13 Major League seasons, Teheran is 81-82 with a 3.85 ERA in 1,470 2/3 innings. He was named an All-Star in 2014 and 2016 as Atlanta's top starter.

Bergner pitched two innings on Saturda, allowing two hits, a walk and two runs.
