Corbin Carroll helped equip the D-backs Nike RBI Senior Baseball, Softball and Junior Baseball teams for their journey to the RBI West Regional Tournament in Portland this Thursday-Sunday. The three-time All-Star surprised the 48 athletes, on July 3 at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, with everything they need to compete on and off the field, includingbrand-new Nike uniforms, cleats and travel gear. The players will represent their 25 schools from communities across Arizona, including Apache Junction, Avondale, Buckeye, Nogales, Phoenix, Sahuarita, San Luis, Tolleson, Tonopah, Tucson and Yuma.
The Senior Baseball team is the defending 2025 World Series Champions and are looking for their fourth straight West Region crown (2023, ’24, ’25), while the Softball team is the reigning 2025 West Region Champions, captured in just their second year as a program. All three teams look to continue the program’s tradition of success and hope to earn a spot in the RBI World Series.
The three Nike RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) All-Star teams were selected through the D-backs Baseball Academy’s summer league, supported by the Diamondbacks Foundation and Nike. The program provides student-athletes from underserved communities with the chance to compete at a higher level while gaining experiences that many have never had before. For many athletes, the tournament marks their first time playing on a Major League-caliber field, traveling by airplane and experiencing first-class travel accommodations.
The D-backs Baseball Academy and Nike RBI program continues to expand and create more opportunities for young athletes each year, adding the Junior Baseball division for players ages 13-15 this year.
